Of course there are also taxi’s readily available at your disposal 24 hours a day for shorter journeys, or you could hire yourself a car and explore the island yourself and travel to places that few conventional tourists have seen before.

Tenerife is also a fantastic destination for food lovers, as it promises to offer up a variety of different cuisine to get your taste buds tingling. Traditional Tenerife dishes into a Canarian, thick vegetable known as Potaje, as well as Ropa Veja, a dish similar to bubble and squeak. The island also produces its own dried apricots, raisins and almonds, as well as the very popular goat's cheese, all available for you to sample, all grown fresh from the island.
